Clocking in at a convenient 10HP, Telepathy is a full-voice analog synth that borrows its architecture from Dreadbox’s lauded Typhon desktop synth, coupled with a 4-pole lowpass filter, a 2-pole highpass filter, and an all-analog VCA. Its 16 onboard presets can be painlessly toggled and recalled, spanning the spectrum of leads, basses, drums, and more. Telepathy’s flexible I/O suite impresses in its capacity for interoperative use that transcends the Eurorack format. Gate, pitch, and CV inputs are joined by MIDI-over-TRS connectors to accommodate multimodal arrangements while increasing accessibility and playback, including multitimbral chaining up to eight modules. Its single-oscillator design boasts an impressive armature of aural action: saw and square waveforms, a square sub-octave, PWM for the square, and individually adjustable levels for both noise and waveshaping. Sound-sculpting tools only increase possibilities from here. The analog 24-decibel resonant lowpass filter includes oscillator and noise FM as well as a 6-decibel highpass filter.
Control is incredibly flexible, allowing Telepathy to hold its own within Eurorack systems of any size for deep, easily customizable expressivity. Program changes, CC signals, and in/out/through control via MIDI lets you painlessly integrate the module with several non-Eurorack control devices. For those preferential to patching, the CV patch input accommodates parallel mapping to all basic parameters, while each amount can be individually adjusted. Its analog VCA includes velocity control and envelope, while a second dedicated envelope lets you engage the LPF, PWM, or patch connection in a loopable form.
