Classic Design with a Heavy Sound
At Sweetwater, we love the chance to explore the reimagined takes on classic instruments that define our musical odyssey. Squier has taken its ubiquitous Telecaster and done exactly that. The 27-inch baritone maple neck lets you combine the historic look of an iconic Fender design with heavy-hitting riffs and down-tuned licks. Presented with nickel hardware and '60s-inspired headstock details, this vintage design is the perfect contrast to the grumbling lows of the Fender-designed alnico single-coil pickups. The C-shaped neck is accompanied by a 9.5-inch Indian laurel fingerboard, boasting 22 narrow-tall frets for smooth, accessible play and offering a swift transition to the tenacious tuning of a baritone axe. Make no mistake, the Squier Classic Vibe Baritone Custom Telecaster pulls no punches with its bevy of bass.

Vintage vibe meets modern versatility
This baritone behemoth draws from the iconic Telecaster models of the 1960s. The nickel-plated flourish gleams across the hardware, from the vintage-style tuning machines to the barrel-saddled string-through bridge. Additionally, the Indian laurel fingerboard sits atop a vintage-tint, high-gloss maple neck. Ultimately, these design cues culminate in an unmistakable, deeply desired look just waiting to take you by surprise with its sonic spread.

Rock through the ages
Don’t let the familiar design fool you. Beneath its bright veneer, this solidbody hits low and heavy. A robust nyatoh body forms the backbone of this baritone’s bass-y breadth. This tonewood is often used for its similarities to mahogany, making it ideal for a powerful midrange, bringing out the full heft of a baritone’s aural offerings. Two alnico single-coil pickups — wired to a sturdy 3-way switch — are anchored to this lighter-weight body, allowing for comfortable play and reliable resonance, without losing that desired low end.
Sound and fury from neck to nape
The neck is where you really decide if an axe is worthy of being your daily driver. This baritone Telecaster boasts a 27-inch, C-shaped neck, built to accommodate low tunings while preserving timbre, promising the sound you want, minus the muddiness of traditional scale at similar tunings. There are 22 narrow-tall frets that divide the 9.5-inch radius fingerboard, making for smooth play accessible at any range. To take full advantage of its Fender-designed roots, the string-through-body bridge — sporting barrel saddles — is designed for optimal resonance, ensuring that everything from your deepest drone to the hottest high register has plenty of room to ride.
