La Bella's string expertise reaches back centuries

While La Bella strings are the top choice for world-famous musicians such as Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams, and Ron Carter, their heritage reaches way back - almost four centuries back, starting in Salle, Italy, in the seventeenth century with the Mari family. They were famous throughout Europe and even supplied violin strings to Amati and Stradivari. Brothers Emilio and Olinto Mari moved their string operation to New York in the early twentieth century, and the modern-day foundation for La Bella strings was born.

Reviews

Not for me.
I decided to try a new set of strings - in the past 18 months I have gone through 3 sets of Daddario EJ88Bs just changing them when I notice the sound is getting a little dull.

I slapped these on, the feel was a little different but they played fine and had a slightly warmer tone and what felt like a little less sustain on an instrument that has precious little sustain to begin with.

If you are just strumming and want something a little quieter and warmer this could be a good option.

They wore out about twice as quickly, I changed them after about 3 months and the wrapped strings were looking rough.
