Holds all I-Pads, in or out of protective case. The clamp on this has some serious force, so your stuff won't slip out. I love it, the device isn't moving all over when you using the touch screen, it is a very solid mount. I was weary because the price is so high. Honestly, it's worth every dime, I have a box full of cheap crap, that just didn't do the job. Now I have two of these. Clamps to desks, mic stands, speaker stands.

Holds my Elgato Stream Deck perfectly

These are really incredible quality. After stumbling upon triad orbit quick change adapters and seeing what quality products they make, we were looking to get their iPad clamps. The previous model had reviews saying that the plastic portions broke easily, and I am more impressed with this company that they fixed the problem and made a more durable product. The clamps are adjustable about every direction you can think of, solid metal construction, and very positionable. Can't say enough about triad orbit quality- worth the price. Comes with a nice case too.

If you are purchasing this for an iPad, be advised that you have to use a full sized iPad in landscape mode. For $, it really wouldn't be that hard to make it so that it is capable of holding it vertically. At the very least, this detail should be in the product description.
