A Bit Confusing

(Android user). Bought this recently, looking for an affordable way to record direct into my phone. It does just that: and it's compatible with standard voice recorder apps for Android, which is nice. Also the "amplifier out" function is neat, since the amp acts as a monitor. I haven't gotten the headphone function to work yet (which is annoying), but have used this to scratch out some ideas with better recording than using the native mics on my phone. What IS CONFUSING, is that there is mention of a TC-Helicon suite of apps for this device, and that other apps are "compatible," but on the Google Play Store when I search "TC-Helicon" or "Go Guitar," nothing obvious shows up. I'm not sure which apps are actually compatible with this device, and it looks like the "suite" of TC-Helicon apps mentioned are only on iOS and not Android. When searching online, I'm not finding any lists or recommendations. Has anyone else had these issues? Do I need to download a bunch of apps and cross my fingers? The Sweetwater engineers I've talked to don't seem to know. This has been pretty frustrating looking for someone knowledgeable.

Crappy

Confusing. difficult to use, and stopped working after a few weeks.

Don't waste your money.

Sweetwater is better than this. I think they should stop selling this product.

If you can get this to working on fx setting, you did better than me...

at least I only wasted $20. Makes me hesitant to try another

Bad experience

Just got this in. I installed Deplike from Google Play, plugged it in, and am seriously disappointed. Horrible, constant "feedback" whine no matter how many volumes settings I played with, hum, terrible latency, very low guitar volume, and really lame guitar sound. Will ask for a RMA asap.

Android users be warned

Watching the videos sold me on the device... All the apps you see in the videos (Guitar Rack) are ONLY available on Mac devices come to find out. There are a couple of apps that it can work with Android, the TC Helicon vocal apps (ok... but this is supposed to be for guitar, bass and other instruments...) Deplike (the free version is workable and you can play along with music that is saved on your phone but not with other music apps like spotify) Toneprint (if you use Ultimate Guitar tabs it will work with both apps). Sometimes I get some really bad latency but not all the time, still figuring that part out. It's ok, but I guess after watching the videos I was expecting more capabilities with Android.
Music background: Guitar, Bass, drums, violin, harmonica, anything I can get my hands on.
