Ive used mine a lot. Live gigs, field recordings, grabbing samples for Ableton Note, all great. But... I can't use it anymore since upgrading my phone to a usb-c connection. I asked if there were plans to update the mic, but got no answer. Sad.

This design allows you to get stereo imaging in both portrait and landscape modes. Will work seamlessly with iPhone camera and no 3rd party app is required, although the company does have an app available. The mic connection has a little shim to remove for fitting deeper into a case, however, it still will not fit into an Otter Box Commuter case so if it's a thick case like the Commuter, you may still need to remove the case for use. Not a huge problem, just a bit of an inconvenience. You will want to use it with your phone isolated in a stand as the mic is sensitive enough to pickup handling noise. I also used it outdoors in the wind and the included foam wind filter does a decent but not great job at blocking out the wind noise. For more critical applications, you would want to upgrade to a better quality feather style wind filter. The mic also does not come with a carrying case and it is made of light weight plastic, so you'll want to have something in mind for securing it during storage and transit.

My husband's band needed show video to post on the website. We, band wives, would film with our phones but they all turned out with terrible sound. This little mic was a game changer! When the videos were edited with the Dolby app they were excellent! Better than we ever hoped for!

I made this purchase to have the ability to record while away from my home studio. The mic works well and with the variety of recording options, I have been able to capture moments of inspiration I tend to forget. Powered by my iPhone means no cords or cables to drag around.

My son is using this to record trombone and vocal. Still learning the subtleties but works very well with IPhone. Vocal recording in particular was much improved.
