The K Custom Series is where the Zildjian Sound Lab went into innovation overdrive. K Customs arm you with a collection of modern K voices like no other. In this range, you'll find sounds that set the standard for modern cymbal design. Whether it's the warm shimmering tones of a ride cymbal or the complex sizzle of a pair of hi-hats, K Custom cymbals all create a uniquely beautiful sound. Many of the drummers here at Sweetwater rely on K Custom cymbals for the wide range of tones they need for contemporary music of every style.

K Customs, like all Zildjian cast bronze cymbals, are individually poured and cast from raw molten metal. Each casting is cooled and sorted by weight for each cymbal model. Castings are then put through a complex sequence of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal range. Cast bronze cymbals have a rich, full-bodied sound that improves with age. They also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. Zildjian cast cymbals are made from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is comprised of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
