Ordering cymbals online is fraught with risk. When I first hit any new cymbal, my reaction is that it sounds awful. It takes me a few minutes of experimenting with how I hit it before I start to get a sound I find pleasing. I have continued to order Sabian cymbals because the quality seems very consistent and I always end up happy with the end result. Of course, Sweetwater's return policy means I can always return a cymbal if it really doesn't work for me so I'm covered either way.
