SSC shells for a unified sound
It’s a subtle detail, but the grain orientation of a drum significantly affects its fundamental pitch and overall tone. DW offers a variety of grain orientations, including VLT, HVLT, VLX, and X. Specialized Shell Configuration (SSC), on the other hand, means that DW selects the best type of shell construction for each drum size in the Collector’s Series Exotic shell pack. This not only keeps things simple for the user, but DW’s expertise ensures that the overall kit also plays like one single harmonious instrument.
