Yamaha APX

Yamaha APX

If you weren’t already aware, the Yamaha APX is the original acoustic-electric guitar that started it all. Some 25 years later, Yamaha is still a leader in acoustic amplification. The APX series builds on this wealth of experience and expertise to give you guitars of unparalleled quality. Their unique pickup system can handle the gigging musician’s toughest challenges — i.e., electronic feedback and insufficient monitor systems. And given their responsiveness, these instruments can do anything their solid-body counterparts can, while expanding your musical boundaries with an acoustic’s natural warmth and full sound. Aspiring guitarists and frequent gig musicians alike will appreciate the craftsmanship and affordability of the Yamaha APX series.

APX600

Designed for maximum acoustic performance and playability, the APX600 model is a solid-top acoustic-electric with a natural gloss finish. The Yamaha 65A preamp picks up every note for a rich amplified sound, and the APX600’s Fishman onboard tuner ensures you’ll stay in tune. The slim mahogany neck is comfortable to play and looks great, with a bound rosewood fingerboard and bridge. These features and more make the Yamaha APX600 a worthy choice for budding acoustic guitarists.

APX1200

While the Yamaha APX1200 acoustic-electric guitar is a perfect fit for seasoned players, it’s also a great instrument for those beginning their guitar journey. Its thinline body style makes it highly playable when seated or standing. Additionally, its solid Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides offer a wonderfully rich tone that’s a hallmark of the entire Yamaha APX series. Other essentials include a built-in Studio Response Technology (SRT) pickup, a preamp, and an onboard tuner. With the APX1200, you’re getting an exquisite acoustic guitar that’ll last you for many years to come.
