What kinds of drivers are available for Delta Series cards in Windows?
For Windows 98SE/ME, VxD-Drivers are available and for Windows 2000/XP, WDM-Drivers are available. A Windows-NT Driver is also available.
ASIO Drivers with MultiCard support are included with the Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP drivers. They also include GSIF (GigaSampler, GigaStudio) and Direct Sound support (for the Operating Systems that support these Operation Modes). The VxD driver allows several ASIO or MME/DirectSound application programs at the same time (Multiclient). Because of the low latency time of up to 1 ms, the WDM driver supports one ASIO application program and several MME/Direct Sound application programs. The NT-Driver can also be used in Windows 2000/XP and is suitable for MME-application programs that only have limited WDM-driver support. Both drivers can be found on the M-Audio driver download page. M-Audio only grants supports for WDM when running Windows 2000/ XP.
