M-Powered ProTools 6.8r2 gets a DAE error -1092 in Mac OS 10.4.x
This can sometimes happen when updating from PTMP (M-Powered ProTools) version 6.8 to 6.8r2. To fix this, follow these steps:
1) Open the Macintosh HD > Library > CFMSupport
2) Inside the CFMSupport folder, delete the following items:
– DAE
– Digidesign DSP Manager
– DigiDirectIO
– DigiHardwareSetup (DigiHardwareSetup.cfm)
– DigiHwGUI (DigiHwGUI.cfm)
– DigiSystemInterface
3) Empty the trash
4) Insert the M-Powered ProTools CD and run the installer.
5) Change the “Custom Install” to “Uninstall” and click the button Uninstall. Choose “Clean Uninstall.”
6) Run the PTMP 6.8r2 installer WITHOUT installing v6.8 from the installer disk first.
