What is the maximum number of plug-ins I can run with Duende?
With the Duende 1.0 software at sample rates 44.1kHz and 48kHz, you can run up to 32 mono plug-ins or 16 stereo plug-ins with Duende. At double sample rates, 88.2kHz and 96kHz, you can run up to 16 mono plug-ins or 8 stereo plug-ins.
You can think of Duende as a virtual console for your computer with 32 mono processing channels. Each mono plug-in takes up one of these processing channels and processing a stereo source will require two mono channels. You can use a combination of mono and stereo plug-ins with Duende, however, there are only 32 processing channels available.
Duende currently does not support sample rates higher than 96kHz.
