What would be the way for me to set up Unity in Digital Performer using DAE?
1. The Unity Control Panel must be set to use Direct Connect on the Audio page and Unity must be configured in the OMS Studio Setup.
2. The Unity DC plug-in must be installed inside the DAE plug-ins folder. If the Unity RTAS plug-in is installed in the DAE plug-ins folder, remove the RTAS plug-in.
3. Open a new Digital Performer document and then from the Basics menu > Audio System > DAE.
4. Make sure that the DigiDesign hardware is selected as the Playback Engine.
5. Create a mono or stereo audio track. Configure the input and output. Set the voice (ex. Voice 1).
6. Create a MIDI track and set the output to Unity channel 1.
7. Record-enable these tracks.
8. Open the Mixing Board from the Windows menu and select Unity as an insert on the audio track.
9. When the DirectConnect window appears, (no links available) will appear, select Main M from the drop-down menu.
10. Now a patch can be selected from the Patch or Defaut Patch columns*.
Note: If a generic patch list appears (ex. Patch 1, Patch 2, etc), close Digital Performer and trash the Unity OMS Names document found in the System Folder > OMS Folder. Empty the trash and run the Unity OMS Publish application found in the Unity Folder > Utilities Folder > OMS folder.
