Walrus Audio ACS1 Firmware Update Guide

Walrus Audio will periodically release firmware updates that add features and address any bugs that are in the current version. In this guide, we will walk you through how to update your Walrus Audio ACS1’s firmware for the first time. Follow the instructions below to get your ACS1 pedal up to date.

NOTE: You must use a web browser that supports MIDI, such as Google Chrome or Opera. Check out MIDI Association’s knowledge base page to learn more about Web-MIDI.

Walrus Audio uses walrusaudio.io, a web-based application that allows you to both update the guitar pedal’s firmware and import any custom IRs you have created.

1. Log in to your walrusaudio.io account. If you don’t have one, click Sign Up, then fill out the necessary information.
   • If you don’t see the email within a few minutes, be sure to check your spam folder!
2. Connect the pedal’s power supply, then connect the pedal to your computer using a microUSB cable.
   • Be sure to enable MIDI access in your browser, or the pedal will not be recognized!
3. Click the Firmware icon, use the dropdown box to select the latest version available, then click Update firmware.
4. The firmware update process will take a minute or two. Do not disconnect your pedal from the computer or from the power supply!
