The UVI-Xtract Doesn’t recognize my Akai CD. I’m placing it in the drive, but UVI-Xtract doesn’t see it.
In Mac OS X, choose “Search for sample disc” from the Disc menu.
In Mac OS9, the situation is more complicated. Mac OS 9.0.4 should support Akai mixed-mode CDs. However, Mac OS9.1 or 9.2.x does not. If you have one of these systems, and you need to work with mixed-mode discs, your best bet is to upgrade to Mac OSX 10.2 or later. It is not recommended that you try to go back to 9.0.4 because many Mac that ship with OS9.1 or 9.2 are not compatible with 9.0.4
