Can I upgrade the hard drive in my MASTERLINK?
YES and NO…
Per Alesis,
the New Masterlink operating system will support up to an 80gig drive but Alesis recommends that you stay with the drive that is built into the machine. The main reason for this is the cooling factor inside the machine. The faster the drive spins, the more heat it produces… and you don’t want to fry out the main board..
So If you want a bigger drive installed in the machine, Alesis suggest you either send your unit in to Alesis for an authorized Alesis drive to be installed or send it to us here at Sweetwater and we”’ pick up the foot work for you..
