When I use my Triton in a Sequencer application (logic, DP, Cubase) and I change the patch/ bank information – it stays on bank G?

Your Triton is “GM device 2” mode, which means it will respond to bank/patch changes by selecting a GM sound. To change this:
1) Turn the unit on
2) Press the global key
3) Press the tab button in the middle on the bottom
4) Choose “system prefs”
5) At the top of the screen you will see BANK MAP, it says “GM DEVICE 2”
6) Change this to “KORG”
7) pull down the menu from the top left hand corner and write to memory.
