Can I transfer audio files into other recording software?

Yes. The recording software that comes with the USB3 records in the standard audio formats so it’s easily transferred and used by any other programs. For the Macintosh, the Cakewalk Metro SE that comes with the USB3 can record in the standard “.AIFF” Macintosh format. For Windows users, Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2 can record in the windows standard “.WAV” file. Both of these formats are very easily recognized by other recording software applications so it will be easy to transfer tracks recorded by the USB3 into almost any software you choose, including CD burning software or multimedia and internet streaming software.
NOTE: Just because you can easily transfer the audio files that were recorded by the USB3 into another program for editing, does not necessarily mean that the USB3 can actually record and play with any recording software. If you plan on using the USB3 with another recording software application, make sure you check the current listing of compatible recording software at: www.aardvarkaudio.com.
