Why do some samples sound choppy when I bring them into Phrazer?
Phrazer relies on the precise location of split points or ‘Markers’ to change the tempo of a loop without effecting the pitch. If the Markers have been placed incorrectly, it will result in choppy playback whenever the tempo is altered from the original tempo.
Correct placement of split points can be confirmed in the edit window at the bottom of the main window (See below). All split points are red for ease of identification, but magnifying tools are provided to allow exact placement. Markers can be easily clicked on and moved to the “Zero Crossing Point” of each beat. Occaisionaly too many split points will appear in
a loop after converting it to Phrazer format. Markers can easily be deleted by holding down the Option-Control-Shift keys and clicking on the base of each unwanted split point.
