Solid State Logic Bundle Activation Instructions

Getting Started

This guide will show you how to activate and access your Solid State Logic bundle. To continue, follow the sections below.

1. iLok Account
   • Download and Install iLok License Manager
   • Sign in with an Existing iLok User ID
   • Create a New iLok User ID

iLok Account

iLok licensed software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok User ID for registering your new software, then please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. If this is your first iLok licensed software, then create a new iLok User ID in which to deposit your licenses. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish between different locations, personnel, etc.

IMPORTANT! iLok User IDs are case sensitive. To reset your password or to recover your account, go to the iLok Account Recovery page.

IMPORTANT! Do not create multiple iLok User IDs if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account.

Download and Install iLok License Manager

1. Go to iLok’s License Manager page. Click the download button that is compatible with your computer.
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer.
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, and click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.

Sign in with an Existing iLok User ID

1. Open iLok License Manager.
2. Log in with your current iLok User ID.
3. View your account’s licenses to verify that the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.

Create a New iLok User ID

1. Go to iLok’s Account Registration page.
2. Complete the registration form and click Create Account.
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email. Click on the included verification link.

Solid State Logic Account

An account is required to activate Solid State Logic software. If you already have an account for registering your new software, then please verify the login and sign in before proceeding. Sign in with an Existing Solid State Logic Account

1. Go to the Solid State Logic Login page.
2. Enter your current login and click Login.
3. Verify that your current products are registered to the current account.

Create a New Solid State Logic Account

1. Go to the Solid State Logic Login page.
2. Click the user icon, then click Personal Account.
3. Complete the form and click Save.
4. Open your email. Complete the email verification prompt. 
5. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

SSL Download Manager

Solid State Logic software is downloaded from the SSL Download Manager app. Many virtual instruments require additional storage space for their large sound-library files. Configure the download and install location for sound libraries to external storage in order to maximize your computer’s internal storage capacity and general performance.

Download and Install SSL Download Manager

1. Go to the SSL Download Manager page.
2. Click the download button that is compatible with your computer.
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer.
   • PC: Double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   • Mac: Double-click the .dmg file to open it. Drag and drop the app to the Applications folder.

Configure SSL Download Manager Settings

1. Open the SSL Download Manager and log in.
2. Click the user icon and select Settings.
3. Click the Change Location button and select the preferred storage location.

Bundle License Registration

Sweetwater has emailed you the license code to activate your software bundle. Open the email, find the code, and follow the steps below to activate it. Once that’s done, you will receive unique activation codes, as well as download and installation instructions for each product included in your bundle.

Enter License Code

1. Go to the Bundle License Registration page.
2. Enter your email address and click Get Registration Link.
3. Open the Bundle License Registration email and click the Register Bundle link.
4. Enter your license code, complete the form, and click Registration Bundle.
5. The bundle has been activated. Unique activation codes and download and installation instructions for each product have been sent to your registered email address.

Software License Code and iLok License

You will receive an additional email including the Software License Code(s) for your specific product(s). Open the email, find the Software License Code(s), and follow the steps below to redeem it.

IMPORTANT! Make sure to enter the iLok User ID to which you wish to activate your software license.

Enter Software License Code

1. Go to the My Account page.
2. Click Register Products and select Register Software.
3. Enter your Software License Code and your iLok User ID.
4. Click Submit.

Activate iLok License

Your software license is deposited to the iLok User ID entered in the previous steps. Use iLok License Manager to activate your new license to a valid location.

1. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.
2. Activate your iLok license to an eligible location.

Download

Solid State Logic software is downloaded from the SSL Download Manager app.

Download and Install Solid State Logic Plug-ins

1. Open SSL Download Manager and sign in.
2. Click the download button for your product.
3. Open your preferred DAW software. Add the software plug-in to an applicable track.
