Roland V-Mixing FAQ’s

1. I am experiencing noise with my S-Series snake, but I don’t have anything plugged into it.
It is necessary to have something connected to the snake for the connection to terminate. You may also use an XLR terminator. Alternatively, just turn down the input for your unused channels on the console.

2. When I’m mixing, the screen keeps changing to different channels.
You will want to turn off touch select on the top left corner of your console. Enabling it will update your screen to whatever fader you touch. This can cause issues if you are touching multiple faders at once.

3. When I attempt to adjust my input gain, it doesn’t change the level of the signal.
You might have ATT control selected on your channel display instead of Preamp.

4. I am getting latency on one of my tracks.
(M-480 and M-300) On your channel display, be sure that input delay is turned all the way down to 0.0ms. That delay parameter is used for setting up things like delay towers in a live situation and is not related to the delay term used to describe echo. In all systems there will be an inherent latency of about 2.8ms due to the round trip through the network.

5. One of my Aux sends are unavailable.
If mixing in LCR mode, one of the sacrifices is that it takes one of those Aux channels and uses it as the extra main output channel internally. If you are not mixing in LCR mode, then be sure that you have it disabled on your main channel display screen next to your meters.

6. My USB flash drive won’t work in my V-Mixing console.

7. How can I get the fastest help regarding how to use my console
The easiest way to learn the console is to look at a button that you aren’t sure about. Hold the HELP button while pushing the button you are looking for advice on. The Console screen will show you operational help and even tips not found in the manual about the function you are inquiring on.
