How do I remove expired or unwanted Digidesign Pro Tools plugins in Windows XP?
There are two ways to accomplish this, depending on how the plugin was installed.
For both methods you’ll want to go to your Windows Control Panel (Start – Settings – Control Panel) and go to Add/Remove Programs.
Look for the plugins in the list. If there, simply click on them and hit Add/Remove to remove them.
If they are not listed, they are likely installed as part of Pro Tools. Highlight Digidesign Pro Tools and click Add/Remove (don’t worry, it won’t immediately uninstall Pro Tools from your system). You’ll be asked if you want to Modify, Repair, or Remove Pro Tools. Choose Modify. You’ll see a list of all parts of Pro Tools, the installed components will be checkmarked. Simply remove the checkmark from the plugins you wish to remove. If you wish to install other components, you’ll need your Pro Tools CD handy and can checkmark other components. Click Next when finished, and it will add/remove components to your specification.
