PreSonus SLCS18AI – Connecting directly to a single RMAI mixer

There are two ways to connect your CS18AI controller to your RM mixer:

1. directly via a single Cat5 cable
2. through an AVB switch (required for audio to pass through)

If connecting directly, you will need the wireless USB dongle if you want to make use of wireless control capabilities from UC Surface and QMix. The AVB switch will also allow for this. Once you have the CS18AI and the RM mixer connected, follow the steps below to set them up:

1. Power on both units
2. ON the CS18AI, press the UCNET button in the Master Control section
3. On the UCNET screen, you’ll see a drop down list for connected mixers and software. Touch the mixer drop down then touch a mixer on the list to select it
4. To connect with that mixer, press Connect in the Mixer Control section of the UCNET screen
5. You are now connected with the RM mixer for control from your CS18AI
