I want to use the PowerCore Compact / FireWire with my Firewire audio interface. Is this a good combination?
The PowerCore Compact / FireWire runs very nicely with most FireWire audio interfaces, but in general we recommend you dedicate a FireWire bus to running the PowerCore Compact / FireWire, keeping harddisks and audio interfaces on a separate FireWire bus or busses.
Please note, on most on-board / PCMCIA / PC Express / PCI FireWire cards you get only 1 bus, which has several connectors (ports). If you’re not sure of the specs of your FireWire card, please contact the vender in question, or consult the product documentation.
