On Windows using Roland R-Mix, I’m receiving the following error: “Data Error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)”
The following is from Roland’s knowledge base:
It has been found that on computers running Windows Vista and Windows 7 on which the “KB2918614” and “KB3000988” update to Windows has been applied, the message “Data error (cyclic redundancy check)” is displayed and installation is impossible.
* Please check here for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.
Installation can be enabled by taking the following corrective action.
Note: Uninstalling the Windows update might result in problems. Uninstalling is to be carried out at the customer’s risk.
- Click on the Windows icon on the bottom left of the screen.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Change the Control Panel view:
- Windows Vista: Change to “Classic View” and select the “Programs and Features” item.
- Windows 7 or later: Change the view to “Small icons” and select the “Programs and Features” item.
- Click the “View installed updates” item.
- From the list of installed Windows updates, select the “KB2918614” and “KB3000988” item.
- Choose “Uninstall” to uninstall.
- Restart the computer.
- Install R-MIX.
- Run Windows Update and reinstall “KB2918614” and “KB3000988.“
