I’m not getting any MIDI into MOTU’s Freestyle for Windows. What can I do?
There is a built-in midi monitor if you go into Freestyle and go to the menu item Windows and choose MIDI monitor. This will monitor all incoming midi regardless of the track/channel setups. It will describe the port, channel, message, and value of each incoming midi message for troubleshooting purposes. This can test to see if you have any MIDI coming into the system, and if so, what it is and what channel it is on. You can also use this to find out what controller number a particular slider or other midi controller creates (for example, what controller number does the pitch bend wheel send).
