No audio from the MOTU 8-Pre ADAT output when used in converter mode.
This is a known issue with MOTU, and affects a small percentage of 8-Pre units. To fix it, do the following:
1. Turn the volume knob on the 8-Pre up.
2. Set the clock source to 44.1 and select the “OPTICAL IN – 1x.”
3. You may need to power-cycle the 8-Pre.
