Does the new MOTU 828 mark II and the 896HD work with the NEC Firewire chipset?
MOTU does not recommend using NEC Firewire chipsets with any MOTU audio interface due to their past incompatabilities. TI chipset is recommended, but VIA and Lucent have also been known to work.
