More On Event’s Digital Audio Cards
More on Event’s Layla, Darla and Gina cards. We had posted the following in a TTOTD: “Gina – You can achieve sync between multiple Gina cards installed in the same computer by tying the S/PDIF out from the master card to the S/PDIF input on the slave card. This does eliminate the ability to use the card’s S/PDIF connection for audio.” inSync Reader Chad G. asks: “I assume you mean it eliminates the S/PDIF only from the Slave Card, not from the Master Card (or VISA for that matter . . . hee hee) as it’s S/PDIF is not in use. Am I correct in saying that? Also, do you know when to expect shipment of Event’s units for Macintosh?” Thanks for the questions Chad! Synching two Ginas together sacrifices the S/PDIF out on the master, and S/PDIF in on the slave. This would leave the S/PDIF in on the master, and S/PDIF out on the slave free.Latest anticipated date we have on arrival of Mac versions of the Event cards is early next year… we’ll definitely post any updated information here!
