How are the loops of G-System switched?
The Loops of G-System are designed to achieve the maximum transparency combined with smooth and fast presets changes leaving no clicks, pops or other artifacts even when switching high gain pedals or preamps in and out of the chain.
After a number of tests on both transistors and relays, TC chose to utilize CMOS switches, which in essence is an eletronic switch (much like a relay) that can be digitally controlled. The CMOS switches features the attributes of very smooth, yet fast switching at the same time as being ultra transparent to the audio source passing through the circuit.
