My latency is too high and/or I get a delay when Direct Monitoring.

1. Reduce the latency by going into the Sound Card’s utility and adjust the
buffers. This usually applies to sound cards with dedicated ASIO drivers.
2. Get an ASIO 2.0 driver for your sound card and check “Asio Direct Monitoring” in the Audio system setup.
3. If using Cubase VST PC 5.0, try using the ASIO Direct X Full Duplex Driver to reduce latency.
4. If your sound card doesn’t have dedicated ASIO drivers, monitor from an external source (like a mixer) to combat the delay.
