How do I know what Bank/Patch value to send to Receptor?
Receptor’s Bank/Patch Select panel always displays the MSB/LSB/PGM message required to select a given patch. For example, if you wanted your MIDI sequencer to send a bank/patch change message that selected Receptor MULTI patch “006:Keys, bass, ac gtr” from the “” MULTI bank, you have only to open the Bank/Patch select panel for the Multi. When you select a Multi Patch in the Bank Select Panel, Receptor displays that bank’s MSB/LSB assignment at the bottom left corner of the panel. Therefore, we can see that, when we select the Bank, the lower left corner of the Bank/Patch panel says “MSB/LSB: 000/002”. Therefore, we know that if we send Receptor an MSB (CC00) value of 0 followed by an LSB (CC32) value of 2, that Receptor will select the MULTI bank. To select the “006:Keys, bass, ac gtr” patch from within that bank, we need then send only the MIDI program change number to select that patch. Receptor numbers its patches from 1-128, so if you’re sequencer only sends PGM changes from 0-127, then you need to remember to subtract one from the patch number shown on Receptor. So, to select “006:Keys, bass, ac gtr” from the “” MULTI bank, you would program your sequencer to send: CC00 = 0 + CC32 = 2 + PGM = 5
