KIT Plugins Software Activation Instructions

Getting Started 

In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your KIT Plugins software. Follow each of the sections below to continue.  

1. iLok Account 
   • Download and install iLok License Manager 
   • Log in to the current iLok User ID 
   • Create a new iLok User ID 
2. KIT Plugins Account 
   • Log in to the current KIT Plugins Account 
   • Create a new KIT Plugins Account 
3. Redemption Code & iLok License 
   • Redeem Redemption Code 
   • Activate iLok License 
4. Download & Install

iLok Account 

Your new software requires iLok License Manager to activate. If you already have an iLok account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Or, if this is your first iLok-required software, create an iLok User ID to affiliate with your license(s). Most of the time you will only have one iLok account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

Get iLok License Manager, either log in to your current account or create a new iLok User ID, then proceed to your KIT Plugins account.  

Download and install iLok License Manager 

1. Go to iLok’s iLok License Manager page and click the download button that is compatible with your computer.  
2. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. Double-click the new .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Open the new .dmg file, double-click the .pkg file, and follow the on-screen instructions. 
3. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your new iLok User ID. 

Log in to the current iLok User ID 

1. Open iLok License Manager. 
2. Log in with your current iLok User ID.  
3. View your account’s licenses to verify the current iLok User ID is the intended destination for your new licenses.  

Create a new iLok User ID 

1. Go to iLok’s Account Registration page.  
2. Complete the registration form and click Create Account. 
3. Open the iLok Account Activation email and click on the included verification link.

KIT Plugins Account 

Your new software also requires a KIT Plugins account. If you already have a KIT Plugins account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Or, if this is your first KIT Plugins product you will need to create a KIT Plugins account. Most of the time you will only have one KIT Plugins account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

Either log in to your current account or create a new KIT Plugins account, then proceed to Redemption Code & iLok License.  

Log in to the current KIT Plugins Account  

1. Go to the KIT Plugins website.  
2. Click the user icon, enter your current login, and click Log in.  
3. Click your user icon and select Order History.  
4. Verify your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create a new KIT Plugins Account 

1. Go to the KIT Plugins website. 
2. Click the user icon and then click Sign up. 
3. Complete the form and click Create account. 
4. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

Redemption Code & iLok License 

Your Sweetwater Sales Engineer has emailed you the Redemption Code. Open the email, find the Redemption Code, and follow the steps below to redeem it. Once done you are prompted for the iLok User ID to deposit your license(s).  

Redeem the Redemption Code and activate the iLok license, then proceed to download & install your software.  

Redeem Redemption Code 

1. Go to the KIT Plugins Collections page.  
2. Find and select your product, then click Add to cart.  
3. Click View Cart and select Checkout.  
4. Enter your Redemption Code into the Redemption, discount code or gift card field and click Apply. 
5. Once the Total updates to $0.00, verify your account login, complete the form, and click Complete Order. 
6. On the next Order Status page, enter your iLok User ID and click Submit. 

Activate iLok License 

Your software license is deposited to the iLok User ID entered in the previous steps. Use iLok License Manager to activate your new license to a valid location.  

1. Open iLok License Manager and log in with your iLok User ID.  
2. Activate your license to an iLok USB or access it via iLok Cloud.

Download & Install  

KIT Plugins software is downloaded from their KIT Plugins Downloads page.  

1. Go to the KIT Plugins Downloads page.  
2. Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.  
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Right-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. In the new folder, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Double-click the .zip file to unpack it. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions.
