When trying to install the AKAI MPK49 on a Windows XP system, the keyboard does not autodetect or allow any sync.
There is a known issue with Logitech Cameras either that had been installed in the past or current devices on a system. This has been address by AKAI in a registry fix which is available from AKAI directly. Alternatively if you are familiar with Windows registry editor, you can do the following:
1. If the following key exists, browse to it. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96C-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}]
2. Look for the key “LowerFilters” and right click it, click modify and change the value to – Just a minus sign, nothing else.
3. Now restart and then try to load the Vyzex software or any other software and it should autodetect.
If this does not solve the problem contact AKAI directly.
