Hertz Software Activation Instructions 

Getting Started

In this guide, we will show you how to activate and access your Hertz software. To continue, follow each of the sections below.

   • Log in to current Hertz account 
   • Create new Hertz account

3. Download, Install, and Activate 
   • Download and install software 
   • Download and install sound libraries

Hertz Account

Hertz software requires a Hertz account. If you already have a Hertz account and wish to register your new software to that account, please verify the username and login before proceeding. Most users will only have one account, but in some cases, you may wish to create another account to distinguish different locations, users, etc…    

IMPORTANT!
Do not create multiple Hertz accounts if you only need one. Instead, try accessing the account using your current login. If necessary, try resetting your password or recovering your account login.    

Either log in to your current Hertz account or create a new one, then proceed to Coupon Code.  

Log in to current Hertz account

1. Go to the Hertz website.  
2. Enter your current login and click Log in.  
3. Verify your current products are registered to the current account. 

Create new Hertz account

1. Go to the Hertz website. 
2. Complete the form and click Register. 
3. Sign in using your new login to verify your account.

Coupon Code

Sweetwater has emailed you the Coupon Code to activate your software. Open the email, find the Coupon Code, and follow the steps below to register.  

Register the Coupon Code and then proceed to download, install, and activate your software.

1. Go to the Registration page. 
2. Enter your Coupon Code and click Apply.

Download, Install, and Activate

Hertz software is downloaded from the Downloads page.  

Download and install software

1. Go to the Downloads page. 
2. Click your product’s download button compatible with your computer.  
3. Open your Downloads folder and run the installer: 
   • PC: Double-click the .zip file, select Extract all…, then click Extract. In the new folder, double-click the .exe file and follow the on-screen instructions. 
   • Mac: Open the .dmg file. Double-click the .pkg file and follow the on-screen instructions. 

Download and install sound libraries

1. Go to the Downloads page. 
2. Click your library download button.  
3. Move the folder to the preferred storage location (external storage recommended).  

Activate software

1. Open Hertz Drums. 
2. Enter your email and click Send.  
3. Click Add Library to select the .hdlib file located inside your sound library folder.
