I’ve heard I cannot use a USB midi interface with GigaSampler or GigaStudio. Is this true?
The way the midi is sent across the USB and the way the Giga engine handles it, it will work, but it will add 5-9 ms of latency typically. A better idea is to use a parallel port midi interface – they work well. Even slightly better is to use a serial midi interface or one built onto your PCI audio card for the fastest and most trouble-free operation.
