I’m having skipping audio on my AMD Athalon computer with a VIA KT333 chipset.
This chipset has been reported to be unusable for digital audio recording due to the PCI bandwidth being very poor. Basically, the data bus is not capable of handling the amount of data required for digital audio recording. These reports are unconfirmed and have not been tested or proven to work or not work here at Sweetwater.
