FreeMIDI Troubleshooting : Sequencer application doesn’t send or recieve midi from a MOTU midi interface.
1. Open the FreeMIDI configuration
2. From the MIDI Menu, choose “Check Connections”
3. Move you mouse onto each sound module in the FreeMIDI configuration, and click the mouse multiple times
4. Making sure your sound modules are connected to speakers or headphones, and their volume is up, listen for the module to “sound” out a chord when you click your mouse on it’s icon.
The Midi interface should also show a blinking green light.
5. Play notes on your external keyboard/controller. Watch for a red blinking light on the fastlane. Then watch for a spinning note in place of the port number (below the MOTU Midi interface icon) in the diagram.
