If I want to enter a name for example, the FM-7 plugin ignores my QWERTY keyboard, and Cubase responds instead. i.e. I want to name a preset “Syn Rise” and as soon as I type “S” rather than “S” appearing in the name field, Cubase solos the track (S is the command to solo track).
There is an option in Cubase SX which you have to activate in order to let the FM7 receive key commands. Therefore open the Preferences from the File menu and activate the checkbox “Plug-ins receive key commands” under “Editing”.
