DAE error -6088 during record or playback in Pro Tools on Windows XP.
Disabling all networking or wireless cards on your system from the Device Manager should resolve this error.
1) Click on the ‘Start’ menu, right-click on ‘My Computer’ and select ‘Properties’ from the drop-down list.
2) In the System Properties window, click on the ‘Hardware’ tab, then on the button for ‘Device Manager’.
3) In the Device Manager window, click on the ‘+’ sign next to ‘Network Adapters’ to open the tab.
4) Right-click on any network or wireless devices listed and select ‘disable’ from the drop-down list.
