How do I connect my Apogee Trak2 to a Digidesign 002 or 003?
To connect the Trak2 AES output to your Digidesign 002 system, you’ll need to do these three easy steps:
1) In the Digital I/O menu set Dig Out to S/PDIF as described in the Trak2 manual page 28 (reproduced below.
2) Set AES Output jumpers to the S/PDIF configuration as described on page 17&18 of the manual.
3) Get an XLR to RCA cable wired in the manner described on page 18 a (standard cable should work) Now it’s possible to connect the Trak2’s digital output to the S/PDIF input on the 002 or 003.
