I’m getting clicks and pops when transferring optical from one device to another through the Digipatch.

Per Midiman / M-Audio, The Litepipe protocol used by the Digipatch, known as DT-16, is a format intended to support 16-bit Type I ADAT devices. Other Litepipe formats are not guaranteed to work reliably. All coaxial S/PDIF and Optical S/PDIF (TosLink) are fully supported.
This means that devices which use other protocols or other bith depths, will not work properly in tandem with the Digitpatch.

We have found that optical patching requires sending word clock (or some kind of clock) “around” the digipatch, in order to supply the destination the needed clock.
