How many channels can the USB3 play and record?
The USB3 can record on the computer 2 channels (L/R) and playback from the computer 2 channels (L/R) simultaneously. The recording software will certainly allow you to mix and edit many more channels, so you can keep all your individual tracks separate. For example, the Guitar Tracks 2 recording software allows you to have up to 8 individual tracks that can be edited, mixed and played through the USB3. Any recording software will let you mix the software tracks down into 2 channels for playback through the USB3. This means you can build your mix 2 tracks at a time, mix & edit all the separate channels in your software while you‚re monitoring the stereo output though the USB3 audio line outputs or its headphone output.
