Why can’t I import or work with a file in Pro Tools, it gives an error that it cannot be imported because it has more than 31 characters in Windows but other programs access it just fine?
Pro Tools has a filename length limit of 31 characters, and this includes the extension and period inbetween, like .wav (4 characters), so in reality, the name itself cannot exceed 27 characters.
