I can’t access patches or data from my ReFills with Reason.

1. Make sure that You browse the contents of the ReFill using a appropriate Reason unit. Some ReFills, like e.g. our own Orkester only contains stuff that are made for a specific unit. If You e.g. browse the Orkester with a Subtractor, You will see nothing, since the Orkester ReFill only contains patches for the NNXT and samples that are used in these patches.

2. This can also happen if You e.g. use the Browse Patch button on e.g. the NN19 when You attempt to browse samples instead – the Browse Sample button is located above the NN19s editing window.

3. Beware of duplicate names on ReFills. Reason will be very confused if there are two ReFills on the same system with identical names. This could happen if You e.g. download a demo ReFill and then decided to buy the full version and these two have identical names even if they are on separate locations on Your hard drive.

4. Duplicates might also appear if You move a ReFill from one hard drive to another – which will in fact copy the ReFill from one location to the other, leaving the original in place – without deleting the “first” one after the copying has taken place.

5. Do not move ReFills while Reason is open. Quit Reason first, then move the ReFill and re-launch Reason.

6. Each time I open a Song Reason will not find the patches and sounds from the ReFills even though I have not moved anything? Try to organize Your ReFills in a couple of folders on Your hard drive and make sure that You select these locations in Reasons preferences – the Sound Locations tab.

7. The demo version of Reason cannot read anything on any ReFills other than the demo ReFill that is included in the demo installation.
