I cannot playback audio in Wavelab as my external editor while running Cubase VST.
1. Make sure “Play in Background” is unchecked in Cubase VST.
2. Activate “Multi-Client Support” if the sound card supports it and set each program to different audio outputs.
3. Consider getting a second sound card and assign one to each application.
