Can the Apogee BigBen clock generator pass audio signals from its AES/EBU input or S/PDIF? Does it still utilize the BigBen’s stable word clock generation?
Yes and Yes. The Big Ben will pass digital audio through as long as that input is selected as the clock reference on the front panel of the BigBen. And the BigBen will smooth out the word clock to be its own stable word clock, thus still giving the benefits of the Big Ben word clock.
