ADAT, BRC, and D8B Digital Transfer Issues
Nothing like being on the bleeding edge. If you are using ADATS and a BRC with your new Mackie Digital 8•Bus board with light pipe connections to and from the mixer you need to make sure you have word clock connected between the BRC and the light pipe card on the mixer. This requires a BNC cable. Further, you need to make sure terminate the word clock signal. In order to do this you will need a BNC “T” connector with a 50 ohm BNC terminator. Connect the terminator to the “T” and connect the “T” to the BRC. From there just run a BNC cable to the 8•Bus. Sweetwater Sound should have these parts in stock by the time most of you read this.
