Will the AardSync II quality be compromised if I use a cheaper video black burst generator?
Yes. While the AardSync II does do some jitter reduction on the input of the black burst signal, it will definitely be compromised by a low-cost unit. In essence, you are clocking the entire studio off of the low-cost, low-quality video black generator, which is not what you want to do. You may use a professional video black generator, or we offer a very high quality video black burst generator plug in board called the Universal Video Generator (UVG option).
